Mexico Travel Bargains on the Web

Recently I found an article on the LA Times Travel Website about where to get travel bargains for trips to Mexico. Since you must be thinking about where and how to get to the beach for the holidays, I thought I would include the information in the Mexico Travel Insurance blog.

Mexico Travel Bargains

Dealbase.com
Compare hotel prices from Priceline, BookingBuddy, Travelocity, Orbitz and Hotwire all on one website. It has a “deal analyzer” that tells you whether an offer saves you money or not. One is able to sort hotel deals by destination (city, state) or by tags (beach, hotel, surfing, etc.).

CFares.com
Money magazine calls CFares.com the “Costco for airfares.” CFares.com finds the lowest international airfares available. Flights are found through airlines, wholesalers and consolidators. Become a Platinum member for a yearly fee of $50 and earn rebates with every fare purchase. CFares will soon offer hotel rebates too.

Yapta.com
YAPTA stands for “Your Amazing Personal Travel Assistant”. Tom Romary, Yapta’s chief executive, says Yapta is “constantly on the prowl checking prices on the specific flights and hotels that interest you.” How it works: you choose your destination, travel dates and specify which flights or hotels to track. Yapta checks prices many times daily and gives users a “fare alert” when they find a great price. Yapta will also track the fares after your purchase so you can try to get differences refunded.

Kayak.com
Search for flight, hotel and car rental deals with “speed and simplicity,”says Kayak.com co-founder Paul English. Find the best travel dates for the lowest fare using flexible date searches. Applications for iPhone and Blackberry.

Bing.com/travel
Bing’s travel tools will tell you when to buy and when to wait on a fare, based on the probability of fares increasing or decreasing. Bing’s “visual search for travel” has images to make trip planning fun. You can set a time frame, maximum price and number of flight hours to find a bargain destination. Bing’s hotel rate analyzer helps determine the best deal too. However, unlike Yapta, Bing does not track fares after purchase.

Priceline.com
Priceline.com is known for offering significant savings when you “Name Your Own Price” for flights, hotel rooms and rental cars. They now offer travel guides with maps for hotel searches. These give users an idea of what price to bid and the neighborhood where the hotel is located. Click here to see travel guides for Mexico.
